Prescriptions.
Prescription medication is often an essential part of a patient’s healing journey. Mercy & Truth focuses on making that process clearer, safer, and easier to navigate. Prescriptions are written directly by Mercy & Truth providers for established patients, ensuring that each medication aligns with the individual’s diagnosis, symptoms, and long-term health plan.
Many patients leave appointments with new information and important decisions to consider. Mercy & Truth places a strong emphasis on education, helping patients fully understand the purpose of each medication, how it works, and how to take it correctly. This supportive approach empowers individuals to take an active role in their care rather than feeling overwhelmed or uncertain.
Medication Education and Counseling
Understanding how to take medications correctly is essential for safe, effective healing. Providers walk patients through dosage, timing, potential side effects, and how each medication fits into the broader treatment plan. Patients are encouraged to ask questions and share concerns so they feel confident and prepared. This education-first approach helps reduce missed doses, improper use, and uncertainty about what symptoms are normal versus when to seek further care.
Prescription Services
Mercy & Truth providers carefully evaluate each patient’s needs before prescribing medication. Each prescription is selected with intention, based on medical history, current conditions, allergies, and potential interactions. Patients receive clear explanations of why a medication is recommended, how long it may be needed, and what results to expect. Once written, prescriptions can be filled at the pharmacy of the patient’s choice, with support available for any documentation or clarification required along the way.
Comprehensive Medication Reviews
Patients taking multiple medications can benefit from a detailed medication review. Mercy & Truth evaluates how each prescription works together, identifies potential interactions or duplications, and determines whether adjustments may improve safety or effectiveness. These reviews help simplify complex regimens, reduce risks, and ensure every medication continues to support the patient’s health goals over time.
Over-The-Counter Support
Many treatment plans include both prescriptions and over-the-counter options. Mercy & Truth providers help patients understand which OTC products can safely complement their prescribed medications and which should be avoided. Guidance includes proper use, expected benefits, and how these products fit into the patient’s care plan. This support ensures that additional medications or supplements are chosen intentionally and contribute positively to overall health.
Affordable Access to Medications.
Mercy & Truth participates in local 340B pharmacy programs to help make prescription medications more affordable for our patients. The 340B program is a federal initiative that allows eligible healthcare organizations to work with participating pharmacies to offer medications at reduced prices. By taking part in this program, Mercy & Truth is able to expand access to lower-cost prescriptions for the community we serve.
When insured Mercy & Truth patients choose to fill their prescriptions through a 340B pharmacy, their participation helps strengthen the program. This support helps reduce the cost of medications for uninsured Mercy & Truth patients who rely on discounted pricing. Both insured and uninsured patients benefit, and the entire community gains better access to essential medications.
Mercy & Truth providers and staff can explain how the 340B program works, help determine eligibility, and guide patients toward the most affordable options for their prescriptions. Our goal is to make medication access clear, supportive, and financially accessible for every Mercy & Truth patient.
