In July, our Behavioral Health team took the conversation into the community, sitting down with people to talk openly about stress, anxiety, and the weight so many carry alone. Between free screenings and fresh groceries, they worked to break the stigma around asking for help, a reminder that caring for the mind is caring for the whole person.

With school out and prices climbing, families packed our 721 N. 31st Street lot for a free morning of care and connection: Mobile Health Clinic screenings, fresh food and clothing, a fire truck, even a visit from Cinderella. In honor of Men's Health Month, the men holding families together took center stage.

For National Women's Health Month, our Caring for Women, Caring for Families event met women with free screenings, fresh groceries, and real conversations about heart health and mental wellness. Because when we care for the women holding so much together, whole families grow stronger, and so do the futures they're building.

Mercy & Truth welcomed Dr. Barney S. Graham and Dr. Cynthia Turner-Graham to Lamb Auditorium for The Intersection of Faith and Science: For Such a Time as This. A packed room heard two of medicine's most respected voices explore how faith and science, together, bring real healing, launching our ongoing Faith and Science series.

Our team traveled to Covington, Kentucky for the Christian Community Health Fellowship Conference, themed Fear Not. Alongside hundreds of leaders devoted to faith-driven care, we worshipped, learned, and traded best practices for extending Christ's love through excellent, whole-person care, connections that will keep shaping how we serve Kansas City for years to come.

CEO Brent Morris joined Bott Radio Network's Special Encounter, alongside financial consultant Chris Graham, to talk through what makes Mercy & Truth unique, from whole-person and mental health care to multicultural outreach. Together they made the case for why bringing faith and science into the same conversation is how we close the care gap.

CEO Brent Morris traveled to Washington, D.C. for his first national conference as Vice Chair of the NACHC Faith-Based Task Force. Taking a seat at the national table, he carried the voice of faith-rooted, whole-person care into the conversations shaping healthcare access and community health equity across the country.

We launched F.I.R.S.T. Tuesdays to bring free screenings, fresh groceries, and community resources together on the first Tuesday of every month at 721 N. 31st Street. Built on the belief that care should be consistent, welcoming, and close to home, it's laying a foundation for healthier families across Wyandotte County.

Brent Morris, CEO of Mercy & Truth, has been named Vice Chair of the newly established NACHC Faith-Based Task Force. In this national leadership role, he helps shape the policies, best practices, and programs that strengthen faith-based health centers and expand access to care across the country.

It's national recognition for what our patients feel every day: care that's effective, equitable, and centered on real people across Wyandotte and Johnson Counties.
