Meet our Behavioral Health Team.

Kate Horowitz, LSCSW, leads integrated behavioral health at Mercy & Truth Healthcare Ministry, where she helps patients in Johnson and Wyandotte Counties get mental health care right alongside their primary care. A Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker, Kate has been independently licensed for more than 10 years and brings deep experience in hospital, clinic and community-based behavioral health.

Kate meets every patient where they are, using a combination of evidence-based approaches tailored to each person’s needs. She believes no concern is ever too big or too small to deserve quality, compassionate care, and she welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds, regardless of gender identity or religious affiliation. She is also passionate about program development and leads initiatives that make care more efficient and effective for every patient we serve.

Outside of work, Kate is a wife and busy mom of two wonderful boys. Despite growing up in Florida, she is a loyal Chiefs fan and always looks forward to college football season. She enjoys playing the piano and cello or diving into a new book whenever she can find a quiet moment.
