Mercy &
Truth Medical Missions announces Mike Jurkovich as new Executive
Director.
Kansas City,
KS – I would like to personally take this opportunity to share some very
exciting news with you. Dr. Mike Jurkovich is joining our team at Mercy
and Truth Medical Missions as our new Executive Director. All of us at
MTMM are welcoming him and looking forward to growing in strength,
wisdom and organization with his leadership.
Dr. Jurkovich has a passion for non-profits and his
work history demonstrates this from his long history of service as COO
at Catholic Charities to aiding the George W. Bush administration in the
faith based initiative, and supporting legislature in Kansas in projects such as the Pregnancy
Maintenance Initiative.
He also comes to Mercy and Truth Medical Missions with a 30+ year
background in healthcare. He has spent the last 10+ years with
Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas as their Director of Healthcare
Services, leading a staff of over 150 and serving over 4,000 patients
annually. Additionally, Mike has operated a small non-scheduled airline,
his own private Dental practice in
Overland Park
and served as a shift supervisor for the Laboratory at KU Med Center.
Mike has a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of
Missouri-Kansas City and has completed a Fellowship in Hospital
Dentistry, serving on the medical staff of
Shawnee
Mission
Medical
Center. He also has
a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the University of Kansas
in Medical Technology and is a Registered Medical Technologist and
Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
Mike and his wife of 26 years, Barbara, are the proud parents of 3 boys
and 1 girl and currently live in
Overland Park. Mike is also a long time
member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish
The Mercy and Truth Medical Missions board of
directors unanimously encouraged Mike to join us this summer and we are
